The Story
The Grivel Nepal S.A. Ice Axe is suitable for classic mountaineering. Designed for classic mountaineering and glacier walks, Grivel's Nepal ice axe has a forged steel blade and an adze. Its shaft is slightly curved to facilitate the self-arrest manoeuvre (hence the name S.A.), a technique used by climbers to stop a slide with the use of an ice axe and no other system. Its leash is equipped with a rubber tip protector. The aluminium shaft it is easy to handle.
